Copan Ruinas

Just briefly. That's the name of the town where you arrive and stay, for the most part. Additional lodging is being built on the way and by the ruins themselves.

The city shown on the left and as related to the museum and two archaeological parks

This is where the tourist shuttles drop you off - no problem, the town is tiny

Grab your bags (after buying your return ticket) and walk this way - toward the central square, by the palms

Interesting brickwork at the central square

Mayan women going from door to door selling hand made goods

Soccer Uniforms

The local cantina. It was Sunday. That's a collectivo stopped outside - people are friendly and greet you in the streets

Leave the cantina on your right and cross this bridge to get to the ruins. Just keep walking, on the left side, under the trees

After a while there is this stele and you're almost there

By now, these will have moved, so don't consider them a landmark

And then there's Henry, to add some local color. He actually knows where he's going
Monday morning rush hour in Copan Ruinas
